I am credible to your senior executives with deep experience in high-stakes, pressured environments. As a coach I am a sympathetic and rigorous thinking partner. I will understand your business context and – unlike many coaches – I have no framework, theory or view of the world to push.

I work primarily – but not exclusively – with finance, law, healthcare and professional services firms.

One-to-one executive coaching for individuals at senior and critical junctures. I work with people directly commissioned by a firm's HR or talent leaders, as well as with individuals who come to me personally.

HR and talent teams typically ask me to work with:

  • Senior leaders who need, but are sceptical of, coaching but who would respond to someone with the credibility to engage them
  • Newly-promoted senior leaders — MDs, partners, practice heads — who need support making a transition that is often different to what they expected
  • High-performing individuals at career inflection points
  • Executives managing a significant challenge — a difficult team situation, a role change, organisational disruption or performance pressure — who need a confidential, and objective thinking partner
  • Individuals whom the organisation has identified as succession candidates, whom it is sensible to develop before they are in new roles
  • HR and Talent leaders themselves – for these executives, often challengingly positioned between management and staff, and committed to the firm both in its present form, and in its inevitable next iteration, the right coach can be hugely useful

Conflicts of interest in coaching are, I believe, both real and under-studied. When I coach someone, I have their interests and well-being in mind. This means confidentiality is a given, as is going wherever the coaching leads. Client, sponsor, and coach should align expectations from the start.
